Filming Permit in the UAE

 

A request to obtain authorization to film, to make documentaries about the UAE, to conduct TV interviews, to enter equipment for filming purposes and media use in the United Arab Emirates must be addressed to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development.

The request should include the following items:

  1. List of names of the filming team with their passport number and the expiry date of their passports
  2. Clear copies of the filming team’s passport
  3. A detail and complete list of the exported equipment
  4. A detailed flight itinerary including  arrival and departure date and flight number
  5. A short synopsis of the visit and the sites involved in the project (location of filming)

The request must be sent to the above-mentioned ministry for approval at least 4 weeks prior to the arrival date of the media team in order to issue the filming permit from the concerned authorities in the United Arab Emirates.
