Notary Public Authentication

First, visit a Notary Public/Commissioner of Oath to notarize your document.  They may charge a small fee.

Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) 

Next, visit DFAIT (JLAC Section) and request to legalize for the UAE.Address:

Important: Please have the documents returned to you, not the UAE Embassy. This helps avoid the loss of documents during transit, and confirms that the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade processed your document.

Send or bring the authenticated documents along with these items to the UAE Embassy for final authentication:Money order or certified Cheque with the appropriate fee (Check fees Section), payable to The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates - Ottawa. If you send the documents, include a pre-paid self-addressed return envelope or waybill. Note: The Embassy is not responsible for any lost or delay of any document while in transit going back to the return address provided.
