Degree Attestation
ATTESTATION OF A UNIVERSITY DEGREE
In order to attest your University degree, first the degree must be legalized with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Ottawa, second order an official transcript (SEALED and STAMPED by the registrar office) and have it mailed directly from the university to our consular department. Please note that the transcript is only to verify your degree. We will not return it to you. Last submit your documents to the UAE Embassy for legalization.
Getting a University Degree Legalized in U.A.E. Embassy
- You have to send your degree to Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Ottawa for legalization. Please note that DFAIT doesn’t accept a copy of a degree if it is not notarized by a lawyer, notary public or commissioner of oath).

- After the DFAIT’s legalization, please forward the document to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Ottawa attention to Consular Section along with processing fee (Money order or certified cheque in CANADIAN CURRENCY $50.00 made out to The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates - Ottawa) and a prepaid envelope.
- If requirements are completed, it will take 3-5 working days to process your document. This processing time does not include shipping/postage times.
